CUBA CRUISES HOME TO SCORE IN SUNDAY FEATURE AT MONMOUTH

Oceanport, N.J. - Cuba waited patiently behind the early speed before
swinging four-wide for the stretch run and powering past favorite Deadly
Dealer to capture the $45,000 allowance/optional claiming feature at
Monmouth Park on Sunday by 2 3/4 lengths.
Trained by Bobby DiBona and ridden by Pedro Cotto Jr., Cuba covered the
mile and 70 yards over a fast main track in 1:40 4/5 and returned $8.80,
$3, and $2.60. Deadly Dealer completed the $21 exacta and paid $2.60 and
$2.20. Notice Me Now was another 2 1/2 lengths back in third, good for a
$3.20 show mutuel.
Sunday's score marked the third straight for Cuba and his ninth overall
from 33 starts. The 7-year-old horse by Not For Love from the Deputy
Minister mare Shaunlee races in the colors of Leo-Sag Stable, Corrigan and
Levesque.
